Exchange product data with your partners.

Data exchange standards

These standards are helpful when you buy or sell products through partners network (B2B). You can receive or sent product data very fast with minimal effort to prepare it.

The BMECat is considered to be a one of the most strongly accepted formats for e-business nowadays. With our , you can export and import files in the BMECat format. We support versions up to version 2005 (2005.1-Advanced) which is the newest. The BMECat is commonly used with ETIM or eCl@ss classification.

The DataNorm is a German standard for the data exchange. Its use is basically the same as BMECat, however, there are some differences, for example the DataNorm file format varies.

Open Catalog Interface (OCI)

Currently, we are working on implementing Open Catalog Interface (OCI) which is well known in SAP® world. With this format, you will be able to communicate with your partners who use SAP. Are you interested in knowing more details? Contact Us

Microsoft Office Excel®

It is not a standard, but it is a very often used tool for storing and sharing the data. If your partners do not support any other standard formats, you can still send or receive their data just with Microsoft Excel. You can simply define a structure of an Excel file just using user interface without any coding.

Classification standards

The Classification standards are means how to describe a product in an uniform way because you and your partner may use differents words to say exactly the same thing. The classification is often used in the data exchange formats. However, it may be useful even if you do not exchange your product data because it helps you to describe your items.

The ETIM classification is suitable for the electronics description. It contains about 2.5 thousand classes with many features and keywords. We support the versions up to ETIM 6.0.

The eCl@ss contains more products classes then ETIM, so it is suitable for more industry fields. It includes about 41 thousand product classes. The disadvantage though is that the license is not available for free compared to ETIM.

Other systems

It is very often that customers do not want to use any standard classification, so they create their internal one. This is stored as a data without any custom code. If you want to proceed in using your own internal classification to describe your products, it is not an obstacle. We can help you to import an industry specific classification which is not included above.
